Today, let’s learn how to draw Pikachu from Pokemon. Pikachu is cute and shoots lightning, what isn’t there to love about this cute yellow Pokemon?
How about being easy to draw? Follow our 12 steps below and you’ll be drawing your own Pikachu in no-time! There are a few tricky parts but nothing too difficult.
This drawing challenge is doable for both kids & older beginner artists.

Art Supplies
Here’s a list of supplies we recommend to use, however, feel free to use whatever you can find around the house!
- Pencil, Marker, Sharpie, Pen (Anything you can draw with!)
- Paper (We love marker paper but use anything you can find).
- Colored Markers (if you want to color the drawing).
Here are what we think are the best colored pencils, best gel pens and best markers for coloring. - Your imagination (feel free to change colors or add things to the drawing!).
A Few Tips Before You Start Drawing
- Pikachu has long, skinny/thin ears. Try not to make them look too thick.
- Pikachu’s tail is shaped like a lightning bolt. It sticks up in the back and goes up to and sometimes above the head in height.
