Iron Man has been around for a LONG time. It wasn’t until the first movie came out that he really became a major character that almost everyone knew.

Today, we wanted to try a kawaii/cute version of Iron Man. It’s funny to imagine him in this form but we think it looks great : )

When you look at the finished image, you might think it looks hard to draw but most of the complicated looking areas are just tiny line details which we’ll show you exactly how to do.

Art Supplies

Here’s a list of coloring supplies we recommend to use, however, feel free to use whatever you can find around the house!

If you are already a fan of a particular marker/coloring brand you may want to check out a few of our other guides such for popular brands such as Ohuhu markers, Artzea and Prismacolor markers.

Otherwise, just pick whatever coloring tools you have around the house (crayons, markers, pencil crayons etc.) and just have some fun!

A Few Tips Before You Start Drawing

  • Iron Man has a lot of little details on the armor so make sure your drawing is large enough so that you have room to add them all.

Let’s Draw Iron Man  – Step By Step

Step 1: Start with the eyes. It’ll almost look like a pair of sun glasses.

Step 2: Next work on the outline of the head.

Step 3: Before finishing the head outline, add a few of the details. The ear piece and one plate on the head.

Step 4: With the details done, finish off the outline of the head.

Step 5: Next, we’ll draw the inner face.

Step 6: Add a few lines for head deals and the mouth.

Step 7: Next, draw the start of the body. Make sure the lines are not completely straight.

Step 8: Now draw the top of the shoulders and Iron Man’s inner power source (The Arc Reactor).

Step 9: Next, add a few tiny circle details to the shoulders and finish off the torso outline on the bottom.

Step 10: With the upper body outline done, we can start on the legs.

Step 11: Add the diamond shaped details on the knees

Step 12: Add a few lines on the feet to help detail them out.

Step 13: Next, add few more leg plate details

Step 14: Lets go back to the upper body and add a few detail lines that connect to the arc reactor in the middle of Iron Man.

Step 15: Add a little triangle detail in the neck area and a few lines on the body for more detail.

Step 16: Continue with body detail lines.

Step 17: A few more details in the middle of Iron Man’s body.

Step 18: Next add a few line details to his shoulders.

Step 19: Now, a little more tricky. Let’s try to draw the beginning of his open hand. Leave a tiny space between the shoulder and the hand.

Step 20: Connect the hand to the shoulder with 2 very small lines. Draw a circle in the middle of his open hand for his blaster.

Step 21: Finish off the fingers for the hand.

Step 22: Next, we’ll draw the other hand. It’s partially behind his back so it’s just a simple line down and out and connect it to the body.

Step 23: Add the last few details to the hand.

Step 24: Color and give yourself a HUGE pat on the back because you finished Iron Man : ) Great job!
