Art Supplies

Here’s a list of supplies we recommend to use, however, feel free to use whatever you can find around the house!

Pencil, Marker, Sharpie, Pen (Anything you can draw with!)
Paper (We love marker paper but use anything you can find).
Colored Markers (if you want to color the drawing).
Here are what we think are the best colored pencils, best gel pens and best markers for coloring.
Your imagination (feel free to change colors or add things to the drawing!).

A Few Tips Before You Start Drawing

Try changing the colors a bit to make the dragon appeal to you more!
The horns we drew are only one style. You can make them pointy or any other way you’d like.

Let’s Draw A Cute Dragon – Step By Step

How To Draw A Cute Dragon Step 1 — **Step 1:** Start with the shape of the head. It’s almost like a fresh bread bun. Leave a little space at the top for the dragon scales on the head.

How To Draw A Cute Dragon Step 2 — **Step 2:** Draw the dragon scales. We did a circle and 2 triangles here but you can change them around. The top scale should fill in the empty space at the top.

How To Draw A Cute Dragon Step 3 — **Step 3:** Now we skip the rest of the face and move down to do the hands. You want to leave enough room to finish the body later.

How To Draw A Cute Dragon Step 4 — **Step 4:** With the hands done, it’s time to work on the feet. Since the dragon is sitting, the feet are very tiny looking. Just 2 small circles. One on each side.

How To Draw A Cute Dragon Step 5 — **Step 5:** It’s time to work on the dragon’s body next. You should be able to connect lines between the feet and hands.

How To Draw A Cute Dragon Step 6 — **Step 6:** Next, let’s work on the dragon’s ears. These ones are similar to bunny ears. Do one on each side of the head.

How To Draw A Cute Dragon Step 7 — **Step 7:** These are the horns we chose for the dragon. There are so many options for you to draw here. If you want pointy horns or curled horns, go ahead!

How To Draw A Cute Dragon Step 8 — **Step 8:** Add a bit more detail to the dragon’s face with these scales that stick out.

How To Draw A Cute Dragon Step 9 — **Step 9:** Next, work on the wings. This dragon has tiny wings simply because they tend to be cute. Big or small, it doesn’t matter. Do what you like here.

How To Draw A Cute Dragon Step 10 — **Step 10:** All dragons have a tail and ours is no exception. Create a tail coming out of the side and add a few pokey scales to it.

How To Draw A Cute Dragon Step 11 — **Step 11:** Next, we finish up with the eyes, mouth and blush. The eyes are like our other tutorials. Black with a small white dot on each.

Try to draw the mouth close to the center of the face and evenly spaced between the eyes. Finally color in the blush using whichever color you’d like.

How To Draw A Cute Dragon Step 12 — **Step 12:** For coloring, you can add a few brighter circle/oval shapes that you color in. Otherwise just try out a few of your own color variations. See what you get! Great work : )
